TENNIS - Longest match in history at Wimbledon

American wins longest tennis match in history

It lasted more than 11 hours, but finally John Isner beat French qualifier Nicolas Mahut at Wimbledon's Court 18. The pair broke every record known to tennis - longest match ever, longest set ever, most games in a final set, most aces in a game by one player, most aces in a game by two players. The match began two days ago - and was suspended twice for darkness. Isner eventually won 70-68 in the fifth set. It was his first victory every at Wimbledon. This tennis game will go down in the history books, and may never be beaten I reckon.
